Rex Omar, (born Rex Owusu Marfo) is a Ghanaian afro-pop, afro-jazz and highlife singer, composer, arranger, producer and culture advocate who is regarded as the most authentic Ghanaian artiste.

He was born on 6th February, 1965, same birthday as legendary Bob Marley and his career appears destined to chart a path to worldwide stardom, such as the late reggae star attained.

Since Rex Omar hit the scenes in the late 80s, he has gained wide recognition in the West African region and beyond. Having performed internationally at a variety of places including almost all West African countries, Southern and Eastern Africa and the Indian Ocean.
